westitch:

This is a fairy simple and easy project.

Things you’ll need:

  • Fabrics in colour/ pattern of your choice (scraps are fine)
  • Needle and thread (Thread matching your fabric)
  • Fabric scissors
  • Wooden skewers  (Found at any local supermarket store)
  • Stuffing

So, first of all I found a print out pattern of a love heart but you can easily make your own, then I cut out multiple hearts (in pairs) and started sewing. I started at in the middle of the heart.

Once you have sewn half way around your heart fill in with stuffing (Just enough to make it cushy) and continue to sew your heart until you have reached the top again.

Now grab your skewer and insert it in at the bottom on the heart; it should go in quite easily. (Using the pointed end)  And your almost done, I tied scrap pieces of fabric around the bottom on the heart to add effect but it is up to you.

Continue to make as many more as you like. I made Nine, three of each of the fabrics. I hope you enjoy making your bouquet of hearts and find them as adorable as I! :)

Collector’s Pouch in Cotton Orange. I love to collect shells and rocks and coins and lots of other things. I had to make myself a pouch to hold all these jewels in. And then I made more for you guys. Enjoy!
